About this scheme

The Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025 provides funding support for improved effluent management. Under this provision, a new MSME is eligible for a capital subsidy covering as much as 50% of the cost of constructing and installing Effluent Treatment Plants, Zero Liquid Discharge systems and other wastewater recycling facilities. The subsidy is capped at Rs 10 lakh.

The incentive targets units whose operations produce liquid effluent. It can be availed alongside the policy's distinct subsidy for pollution-control devices.

To qualify, the unit must be within five years of commencing production.

How to apply

1. Plan and commission the ETP, ZLD or wastewater recycling facility at the unit. 2. Keep on record the vendor invoices, civil works bills and commissioning documents. 3. Submit the capital-subsidy application to the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Mizoram. 4. Enclose the Udyam/MSME registration along with any pollution control board consent or certification that has been secured.

How applications are assessed

Before any money is released, the department inspects the installed facility and checks the construction and installation expenditure. Once verified, up to 50% of the cost is disbursed, subject to a ceiling of Rs 10 lakh.
