About this scheme
Under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025, an MSME unit located in a Notified Industrial Area is eligible to recover 25% of its expenditure on constructing a factory building on land allotted to it. The maximum amount payable under this provision is Rs 15 lakh.
Approval for this subsidy, as with the land development subsidy, must be obtained in advance. The Government of Mizoram has to approve the plan and estimate for the factory building before construction begins.
The unit must be within 5 years of its existence to qualify.

How to apply
1. Submit the factory building plan together with the estimate to the Government of Mizoram, and secure prior approval. 2. Erect the building on the plot allotted, keeping contractor bills and evidence of payment on record. 3. Lodge the subsidy claim with the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Mizoram. 4. Enclose the Udyam/MSME registration, the land allotment order and the approved estimate.
How applications are assessed
The Department of Commerce & Industries checks the claim against the plan and estimate that were approved beforehand, as well as the construction expenditure recorded in the documents.
