About this scheme
Mizoram's Industrial and Investment Policy 2025 provides that an MSME unit established within a Notified Industrial Area may recover 25% of its expenditure on converting allotted undeveloped land into a usable site. The reimbursement is capped at Rs 10 lakh.
One procedural condition deserves attention during planning: the Government of Mizoram has to approve the land development plan and estimate **before** the work commences. Any expenditure incurred prior to approval cannot be claimed.
To be eligible, the unit must also be within 5 years of its existence.

How to apply
1. Obtain approval for the land-development plan and cost estimate from the Government of Mizoram prior to commencing any work. 2. Complete the development on the plot allotted, and preserve every bill, contractor invoice and payment record. 3. Submit the subsidy claim to the Department of Commerce & Industries, Government of Mizoram, in accordance with the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025. 4. Enclose the Udyam/MSME registration, the land allotment order and the approved estimate along with the claim.
How applications are assessed
The Department of Commerce & Industries checks each claim against the approved plan and estimate, as well as the expenditure the unit has actually recorded.
