Mizoram MSE Tender Fee Exemption

Under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025, Micro and Small Enterprises are exempted from paying tender fees. Although each fee is modest on its own, the cumulative cost becomes significant for a micro enterprise submitting bids across multiple departments.

The exemption applies under the same conditions as the rest of the procurement preference package. The enterprise must be registered and operational within Mizoram, and at least 70% of its workforce must be local. This measure works alongside the EMD exemption, the 12% price preference, and the 25% procurement reservation, all of which reduce both the expense and the risk associated with bidding for government contracts.

The tendering authority checks that the bidder holds valid MSE status and meets the local workforce requirement. Only after these conditions are confirmed is the bid accepted without a tender fee.
