About this scheme
Under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025, new manufacturing units can obtain relief on water charges. The proportion of water-consumption expenditure reimbursed varies with enterprise size: micro enterprises receive 60%, small enterprises 25%, and medium enterprises 15%.
A uniform cap of Rs 10 lakh per annum applies across all three categories. Units may claim this benefit for five years, counted from the date on which production commences.
Since reimbursement is calculated against actual consumption, maintaining utility bills and meter records is necessary.
