Government-subsidised adoption of LEAN manufacturing techniques—including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping—is available for MSME clusters. The subsidy covers 80% of implementation costs for Micro units, 60% for Small units, and 50% for Medium units. An additional 10% subsidy is provided for units owned by Women, SC/ST entrepreneurs, or those located in special geographic areas.

How to apply
- Possess a current Udyam Registration certificate. - Go to msme.gov.in or get in touch with the closest MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO). - Determine whether your cluster is already part of the scheme, or enrol your own unit separately. - A certified LEAN consultant is allocated to carry out an initial evaluation of your unit. - LEAN practices are applied on the shop floor during a specified engagement timeframe. - Once implementation is confirmed, the subsidy is released via the MSME-DFO.
