The Government of India provides financial support for the adoption of LEAN manufacturing practices—including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping—within MSME clusters. The subsidy covers a portion of the implementation cost: 80% for Micro units, 60% for Small units, and 50% for Medium units. How to apply
- Possess a current Udyam Registration certificate. - Go to msme.gov.in or get in touch with the closest MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO). - Determine whether your cluster is already part of the scheme, or register your own unit. - A certified LEAN consultant is appointed to carry out an initial evaluation of your unit. - LEAN techniques are applied on the shop floor during a specified engagement timeframe. - Once implementation is confirmed, the subsidy is released via the MSME-DFO.
