Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible for this scheme?

MSEs registered under Udyam with SC/ST entrepreneurs holding more than 51% shareholding are eligible, provided they have paid Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) charges to participate in tenders from Central/State Government or Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs).

How much reimbursement can I claim?

You can claim 80% of the Performance Bank Guarantee charges you paid, or ₹1,00,000 (excluding GST and other taxes), whichever is lower.

What is a Performance Bank Guarantee and when is it needed?

A Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) is a bank-issued security on behalf of a business to a government or PSE buyer, ensuring contract performance. This scheme reimburses a portion of the fee the bank charges for issuing the PBG.

What documents are required?

Submit your Udyam Registration, GST certificate, PAN card, caste certificates for all promoters, and shareholding documents (Partnership Deed or MOA/AOA) proving over 51% SC/ST ownership. Also provide a bank-attested debit statement showing PBG charges and the Bank Guarantee number, a bank-attested copy of the PBG, a cancelled cheque, and the Supply/Purchase/Work Order from the government entity requiring the guarantee.

Can I apply multiple times in a financial year?

Reimbursement under the scheme is processed within the same financial year, provided you submit evidence of any earlier reimbursement already received from NSSHO/NSIC under the scheme that year. Multiple claims are allowed, but they remain subject to the overall cap.

Is this a loan or a grant?

This is a non-repayable reimbursement subsidy, so you are not required to repay any amount, and no equity is taken from your enterprise.
