About this scheme
The Special Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (SCLCSS) operates under the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme. It assists micro, small and medium enterprises owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs in purchasing improved machinery, so that they do not have to bear the entire cost themselves.
Where institutional finance is availed for procuring plant and machinery/equipment, or for upgrading technology, the scheme refunds 25% of that finance. The subsidy is computed on institutional finance of up to Rs.1 crore, which makes the maximum subsidy Rs.25 lakh.
Manufacturing and service enterprises are both eligible. SC/ST women entrepreneurs receive priority, as do entrepreneurs from the North Eastern Region, hill states, island territories and identified Aspirational and SC/ST dominant districts.
