About this scheme
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of the National SC-ST Hub, an SC/ST enterprise taking part in an exhibition can recover the full cost of moving machinery, samples, and finished goods. The reimbursement covers transport charges from the manufacturing unit to the exhibition venue and back, capped at Rs. 15,000 per exhibition.
For manufacturers shipping bulky products, this to-and-fro movement can cost as much as the stall itself. The claim is made separately for each exhibition, in addition to the subsidy on stall charges and support for travel fares for the same event.
