About this scheme
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS), an SC/ST enterprise that secures a stall at a domestic exhibition or trade fair can also claim support for travel and staffing. The National SC-ST Hub covers the cost of one individual from the enterprise to attend and manage the stall.
Reimbursement is provided at 100% of the actual to-and-fro fare for bus, train, or air travel, limited to AC-III tier class. The fare is calculated from the nearest railway station or airport to the exhibition venue, using the shortest route, for one SC/ST person per SC/ST enterprise, with a maximum cap of Rs. 10,000.
This travel support operates alongside the 100% subsidy on built-up stall charges and the freight reimbursement applicable to the same event.
