About this scheme
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of the National SC-ST Hub, SC/ST enterprises exhibiting at domestic trade fairs and exhibitions are exempt from paying stall rent for the base stall size. The scheme provides a 100% subsidy on built-up stall charges, but only for the minimum stall size specified for that particular event.
If an enterprise opts for a larger stall than the minimum, it must bear the additional cost itself. This arrangement addresses the common barrier of stall rent that discourages most small manufacturers from participating in such events.
