About this scheme
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS), operated through the National SC-ST Hub, SC/ST-owned enterprises participate in structured trips to domestic exhibitions and trade fairs. These visits allow business owners to connect with potential buyers, observe competitor offerings, and assess whether exhibiting at future events would be worthwhile.
The scheme covers travel costs for these visits. It reimburses 100% of the actual to-and-fro fare for bus, train, or air travel, limited to AC-III tier class, from the nearest railway station or airport to the exhibition venue via the shortest route. This support applies to one SC/ST individual per SC/ST enterprise, with a maximum reimbursement of Rs. 10,000.
