About this scheme
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS), operated through the National SC-ST Hub, SC/ST-owned enterprises participate in structured delegations to international exhibitions, trade fairs, and seminars overseas. These visits allow businesses to assess potential buyers, available technology, and competitive landscapes before deciding whether to invest in their own exhibition presence.
The scheme reimburses travel costs in full: 100% of economy class airfare, calculated by the shortest route, for one representative from each participating enterprise. This representative must belong to the SC/ST category, and the benefit is limited to one individual per enterprise.
