About this scheme
Telangana's MSME Policy 2024 provides a cost-sharing arrangement for enterprises that invest in training their own workers. Under this provision, a micro, small or medium enterprise that incurs expenditure on skill upgradation and training of local manpower is eligible to claim reimbursement of 50% of such cost, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 2,000 per person.
The facility may be availed once per person trained. Eligibility is restricted to local manpower alone. Through this design, the incentive seeks to encourage MSMEs in Telangana to recruit and upgrade skills locally, instead of bringing in labour that is already trained.
