The Industries Department, Government of Telangana, is the state body tasked with industrial development. It operates under the Chief Minister and the Minister of Industries, and connects with enterprises via District Industries Centres.
The department administers Telangana's industrial incentive schemes: T-IDEA, aimed at entrepreneurs in general, and T-PRIDE, for SC and ST entrepreneurs. It extends support to micro, small and medium enterprises through operational guidelines, policy booklets and a handbook of government schemes. Sector policies under its purview cover textiles, food processing and solar energy.
Export promotion is handled through district-wise export data, the District Export Advancement Programme and links to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. The department also runs One District One Product and the RAMP platform for MSME development. For firms planning to set up operations, it publishes a land bank of vacant industrial plots and a district-wise directory of testing facilities.
