About this scheme

The package combines five incentives. Capital subsidy ranges from 10% to 25% of FCI for Micro units and 10% to 15% for Small units, with the highest rates available in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal. Interest subsidy of up to 5% is offered to MSMEs; for SC/ST and women applicants, the support can cover up to 60% of the interest paid.

Stamp duty relief varies by region: 100% in Purvanchal and Bundelkhand, 75% in Madhyanchal and 50% in Paschimanchal. Women-owned units receive 100% exemption across the state. In Bundelkhand, electricity duty is waived in full for 10 years.

Units manufacturing the product designated for their district can also claim ODOP incentives.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply for UP Industrial Investment & Employment Promotion Policy 2022?

In Uttar Pradesh, both new and expanding MSMEs and large or mega industrial units are eligible to apply, and ODOP units manufacturing their district's designated product qualify for an extra incentive.

What capital subsidy is available?

Micro enterprises qualify for 10%–25% of Fixed Capital Investment and Small enterprises for 10%–15%, with the top rates applying in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal. Large and mega units are covered under separate incentive slabs.

Is this scheme equity-free?

Yes. Every component of the scheme — capital subsidy, interest subsidy, stamp duty exemption and electricity duty exemption — is a non-dilutive, non-repayable incentive.

Are there special benefits for women entrepreneurs?

Yes. Women-owned units qualify for a full 100% stamp duty exemption across the state, and women as well as SC/ST entrepreneurs may claim interest subsidy of up to 60% of interest paid, against the standard ceiling of up to 5%.

What is the ODOP incentive?

Units making their district's designated product can claim extra incentives under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. These sit on top of the usual industrial policy incentives, and the amount differs from district to district.

How do I apply?

Applications are made via the Nivesh Mitra portal (niveshmitra.up.nic.in), Uttar Pradesh's single-window investment facilitation platform, or through the applicant's District Industries Centre (DIC).
