About this scheme
Under the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme, each MSME can access up to Rs 3 lakh for technology upgradation aimed at zero-effect solutions, pollution control, or cleaner technology. This utilisation depends on the consultant’s recommendation, verification by the relevant MSME-DI, and approval from the PMAC.
The Ministry provides a subsidy of 80% for Micro, 60% for Small, and 50% for Medium enterprises. An extra 10% subsidy applies to MSMEs owned by Women/SC/ST entrepreneurs or those located in the North Eastern Region, Himalayan, LWE, island territories, or aspirational districts. A further 5% is available to MSMEs that are also part of SFURTI or the Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP). A minimum Bronze ZED certification is mandatory.

How to apply
- Secure at least Bronze ZED certification via zed.msme.gov.in. - Engage an empanelled consultant to evaluate your unit and propose the upgradation. - Forward the proposal to MSME-DI for verification and obtain PMAC approval. - Carry out the upgradation and apply for the subsidised portion of the expenditure.
